The Stafford Library is OPEN!
Yes, we are open to the public.

To ensure the safety of our staff and patrons, the following Coronavirus guidelines have been established:

• If you are not feeling well, please stay home.

• Everyone must wear a face mask in the library.

• We are asking patrons to limit the time they spend in the library to no more than 1 hour per day.

• Curbside service is still be available (see hours below) for those who cannot wear a mask or who do not feel comfortable coming in to the library.

• Due to social distancing, there are a restricted number of computers available (computer use is limited to 1 hour per day and the computers automatically shut down 15 minutes before we close).

• Please return library items in our book drops (located on either side of the main entrance). Do not bring returns into the library as these items need to be quarantined before being checked in.

• Social distancing of 6 feet should be maintained between you and others in the library.

• Please follow all directional signs while in the library.

We have new amended hours (Mon, Wed, Fri 10-5; Tues, Thur 10-8; Sat 10-1).

Your patience and cooperation is appreciated.

Curbside Pickup

Curbside pickup hours:

--Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10:15 am-4:45 pm
--Tuesday and Thursday 10:15 am-7:45 pm
--Saturday 10:15 am-12:45 pm

• Library patrons can request up to 10 books and/or up to 5 DVDs by placing holds using our online catalog, by email, or by calling the library. Patrons will be notified when their holds are ready.

• Patrons should call the library (during the curbside hours listed above) to let us know they are in the driveway in front of the library. Patrons are to remain in their vehicles.

• Staff will take the patron's bagged items outside and place them on a cart that will be located under the overhang at the front entrance. Once staff move away from the cart, patrons can get out of their vehicle and retrieve their items.

• Use our book drops (located on either side of the main entrance) to return items; do not leave them on the cart. Returned items will be quarantined before being checked in.

Accommodations can be made to provide you with simple photocopying, printing, scanning and faxing through curbside service if you are unable to come into the library. Call for more information or email documents, along with instructions, to

There is Still Time to Take Advantage of Free Tax Help!
The Stafford Library is once again hosting the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. This is a free tax return preparation service available for those who qualify, generally those with a household income of up to $57,000.

Hours are Thursdays 4:30-6:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00 am-12:00 pm.

Walk-ins are welcome or you can call the Library to make an appointment.
