Local amateur astronomer, Roger Ingraham, will present information about the upcoming August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse. He will talk about how to experience the event in northern CT and in the path of totality (which stretches from Oregon to South Carolina). Some topics he will cover: • When - Where - How • History of Eclipses • Geometry of Eclipses • How to Safely View the Eclipse • Eclipse Equipment and Photography • The Emotional Experience of Seeing a Total Eclipse • Links to Resources Call the Library to register.
